Now is the time – seminar (3×50 min)

One of them is Victory in the Final Conflict

Your worth, Your character
Barna Magyarosi

Character Development-the Work of the Holy Spirit – seminar (3×50 min.)

I’m happy that you are interested in the seminar called ’Your Worth, Your Character.’ In this seminar, we are trying to find even deeper answers to a number of questions:

– Why is it important to invest in the development of character in a constantly changing world?
– What does character mean? What are its components?
– How can it be cultivated?
– What is the role of the Holy Spirit in the shaping of character?
– Can one alter their character as an adult?

We are looking for the anwers to these questions in a 3-part seminar. Yet, each seminar can be attended separately and independently from each other. If you are interested in these topics, you are warmly welcomed.

Reshaped or Remoulded
In this seminar we are trying to find answers to the following questions: How can a Christian youth confront the wave of media that sweeps over the world and tries to force everyone into the same, outwardly formed pattern? How can a Christian youth nurture an outward-oriented process in their life that is able to provide a steady source for a positive change?

Our Character and the Transforming Power of the Holy Spirit
How we can work together with the Holy Spirit in order to develop a firm, Christian character? What is the essence of the work of the Holy Spirit? How does the Spirit contributes to our resembling Christ better and better?

Your Character-Your Everything
What is character? Why is spending time on its development worth it? What are the components of character? How do these components shape a whole, balanced unity? What can I do in my everyday life to build a Christian character?

A conflict between liberals and conservatives in Adventism: Is there a solution?
Barna Magyarosi

Extremities: Conservative, Liberal – one presentation (1×50 min.)

In this seminar, we are going to explore the roots of the conflict that often raises dissention and ruins churches and communities.

Gnostic gospel – practical seminar (1×60 min.) + discussion

Wednesday 17:45-18:45 + discussion (until 19:45)

We like movies. It feels good to see things that are not present in reality, discover new worlds or just turn off for a few hours. But even though it feels good, is it really good? As christians do we really need this, especially in the end of times? How do they effect us and form our realtionship with Christ? As an amateur filmmaker I would like to invite you and I will talk about all of these topics.

Don’t Stay on the Surface! – Dive Deep!

How to study the Bible more deeply with the help of pictures? – practical seminar (1×60 min.)

Friday 18:30-19:30

Do you like the pictures of the Bible? In this seminar, we are going to make a ’photo’ from each of the stories we read in order to discover Jesus and the scenes of redemption in them:

’Each of the ancient prophets spoke less for their own time than for ours, so that their prophesying is in force for us … All the great events and solemn transactions of Old Testament history have been, and are, repeating themselves in the church in these last days.’ (Ellen White, Selected Messages, Book 3, 338-339)

‘Where did everyone go?’
László Osvald

‘Where did everyone go?’ – practical seminar (1×60 min.)

Saturday 18:30-19:30

‘Where did everyone go?’ – I feel like Kevin in Home Alone. People my age have disappeared from church. Despite our hard work, they leave.

Under normal circumstances I go to church every Sabbath, but I hardly have any friends. I think I am a normal person with a healthy worldview. I think I am down to earth, I’m not weird, I like the same things others do as well.

‘Why is it that the ‘world’ has seen your helplessness, but the chuch didn’t? Why has no one asked for you opinion, or if they did, why did no one listen to you?”

Why have young people left the adventist church?
